foggy weather

foggy, misty days,

shades of brown, green and grey
and a few yearling calfs, scared to come too close;
curious from a distance
will become braver each day....

conversation between two

image source

 i heard
two owls
across
the field

talking
the other
night;

one hoot
who-o-o who-o-o,

the other
who-o-o who-o-oed too;

i wished
i had who-o-o
who-o-oed back.
