this weekend will be chili

I made this last weekend
for the Superbowl;
(yay PACKERS!)
it was delicious!

You have to love
anything with
CHOCOLATE!

I used HERSHEY
but you definately
could use any kind
of your choice.

MEXICAN CHOCOLATE CHILI
prep time: 15 minutes
cook time: 2 hours 30  minutes
                                                                                                        
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
1-1/4 pounds ground round beef
1-1/3 cups chopped onion
1-1/3 cups hot water
2-3/4 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with garlic, undrained
1-1/4 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1-1/4 (15 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
1-1/4 (14.5 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained 
1/4 cup and 3 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
2-3/4 teaspoons chili powder
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon ground cumin
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1-1/4 teaspoons of salt

Directions:
1. Combine ground round and onion in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring until beef is browned, about 5 minutes.
2. Transfer cooked beef and onion to slow cooker. stir in water, tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, corn, chocolate chips, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and salt. Cook on high until chili begins to bubble, about 20 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cook until thick, about 3 hours.
